Membership Application Queries

IP Authorisation

If you are also interested in obtaining an authorisation to act as an insolvency practitioner or transferring your authorisation to the IPA [click here for IP authorisation criteria and application form IP1].

Fixed Charge Receiver Registration

If you take appointments, or are thinking of taking appointments, under fixed charges which fall outside the statutory regulatory framework, you may wish to consider registration under the fixed charge receiver scheme run by the IPA with the Royal Chartered Institute of Surveyors and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.

Changing your Membership Category

If you are already a member and wish to change your membership category - for example, you have passed the certificate of proficiency examination and want to transfer from student to affiliate or individual ordinary membership, or you have permanently retired from professional work or business - please login and download a transfer forms.

Renewal of Membership / Authorisation

Forms to renew your membership and to renew your insolvency practitioner authorisation will be sent out automatically to you during October: your renewal for membership should be returned by no later than 31 December for membership; and your renewal of authorisation by no later than 30 November.
